Factors such as new energy applications, widespread use of electric vehicles and local renewable energy generation cause a rapid increase in electricity demand. Therefore, more advanced solutions are needed to balance and monitor energy production and consumption. By communicating over power lines, we can use the existing infrastructure more efficiently and have the opportunity to monitor energy production and consumption.
