Projects with Wifi Module

In this article, we will try to learn the use of wifi communication modules. We chose the ESP-12F module as an example.

ESP-12F Wifi module can be connected to a microcontroller and many applications can be made. With this module, data can be sent and received. This data exchange can also be done on the internet or local networks.

As seen in our tutorial video, first the wifi module needs to be soldered to a standard plate. The ESP-12F module is normally smaller in size than normal plate standards. So it needs to be soldered to a standard plate.

ESP-12F has operating modes. If a connection is made as shown in the diagram, it becomes ready to receive direct “AT” commands.

The connection of the RX and TX terminals to the microcontroller should be crosswise. Since the ESP-12F works with 3.3 volts, the supply voltage should be 3.3 volts. Likewise, the cable from the TX end of the Microcontroller must be connected to the RX end of the ESP-12F over 1K and 2K resistors in order to cycle 5 volts - 3 V.3 volts.

The ESP-12F's default BAUDRATE is 115200. It can be changed if desired.
