What is SiP?
"In-system packaging" (System-in-Package or SiP) is a packaging technology that combines multiple electronic components, inter-component interconnections, and antennas, if needed, in a single compact integrated circuit package. This approach aims to provide higher density and more efficient designs by integrating different functions or components into the same physical package.

In products such as nRF9161 SiP and nRF9131 mini SiP, radio communication, microcontroller, memory and other components required for cellular IoT (internet of things) applications are brought together in a single package. This provides benefits such as more compact designs, better energy efficiency and lower costs.
