Operational Amplifier (OP AMP) Tester

Operational Amplifier (OP AMP) Tester

The Operational Amplifier (OP AMP) Tester is an essential tool of electronics laboratories because it quickly and reliably evaluates the accuracy of integrated circuits, increasing the productivity of engineers and technicians when testing new designs or diagnosing problems in existing systems. Moreover, functions such as identifying chips with low and high conversion rate, detecting fake integrated circuits and identifying internal short circuits of the amplifier are extremely valuable to improve the efficiency of the laboratory, so the OP AMP Tester is an indispensable part of electronics laboratories.

Op Amp Tester PCB

Operational Amplifier Tester is a device designed as a single or dual op amp scanning circuit. This innovative tool can evaluate the accuracy of integrated circuit (IC) amplification and also roughly determine the conversion rate of the chip. It can even identify high-speed chips.

Features:
Working Voltage: DC 12V
Working Current: over 100mA

Working Principle: The working principle of the device is quite simple. In the first stage, IC1a is connected to a multivibrator operating at a frequency of about 1Hz and combined with the OP Amp. The amplifier to be tested is connected to a unity gain that inverts the operating state. Then, IC2 is a legacy or gate and has a real table where the output must be 1 when the two inputs are inverted.

Working Status Indicators:
If the OP Amp is working normally, IC2 points A and B should be reversed so that C becomes 1 and after IC1b and 1d it is still 1. In this case, the yellow LED (D3) lights up.

Op Amp Tester Circuit

If OP Amp output is on, IC2 point C should always be 0 and after IC1c it becomes 1. In this case, the red LED (D4) lights up.

If OP Amp internal short circuit, it makes the output voltage positive or negative, IC1c output is also 1Hz low frequency square wave, and red and yellow LEDs flash alternately.

Conversion Rate Determination: For chips with low conversion rate, the state indicated by the LED is always yellow, with red flickering rapidly. This feature can be used to roughly determine the conversion rate of the chip. Most second-hand chips use a low conversion rate, so the device can be helpful in detecting counterfeit chips.

Supported Models:

Single OP Amp Models: LM741, LF356, NE5534, TL071, TL081, OP07 and other standard package single OP amps.

Dual OP Amp Models: LM358, NE5532, TL082, MC1458, RC4558, OP275 and other standard package dual OP amps.

Operational Amplifier Tester is the perfect tool to quickly and reliably evaluate the accuracy of integrated circuits. Ideal for both professional users and hobby electronics enthusiasts.
